When Gropes popped-up

Last night we went along to the launch of The Temporium, a design pop-up shop brought to us by Dezeen magazine.

The shop, located on Covent Garden's fittingly uber-trendy Monmouth street is open for the 24 days before Christmas - rather like an advent calendar - nice.

The reason we were there, besides loving all things 'designery', is that we are delighted to say Gropes are one of the products on sale in the shop. There are Gropes trophies on the wall (for sale) and the packaged grips sit proudly on a shelf near the till (somewhere near the Bookman Cycle Lights and the flying Christmas cards).

If you're keen on quirkiness, captivated by creativity and looking for something that's a little bit different then this is the shop for you. Nothing here is 'run of the mill'. The mix of carefully considered, stylish and modern products produced by some of the most up and coming designers makes for great browsing. With Christmas gift ideas a-plenty and perhaps the odd treat to yourself you'd be hard pushed to leave without buying something.

The rain might have been pouring and the night a chilly one but The Temporium was packed, you couldn't squeeze another body into that space. In fact, they had to organise a one-in-one-out system in the end. A sure sign of success, don't you think?

To top off a super-exciting night, after we left the launch we popped across to the new Jamie Oliver and Chris Bianco restaurant, Union Jacks in Central St Giles Piazza...and met the men themselves! But, that's another story (or another blog post).

We can't recommend a trip to The Temporium enough, you'll want to buy everything. FACT.
